The Al Qasimi Palace, a sprawling 20,000 square meter, four-story mansion in Ras Al Khaimah, is up for sale for Dh25 million. Built in 1985 by the late Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Qasimi, the palace boasts 35 rooms and showcases a blend of architectural styles, including Islamic, Moroccan, Persian, and Indian influences. Notable features include chandeliers from France and Belgium, Thassos marble floors, and a glass pyramid on the roof. The current owner, Tareq Ahmad Al Sharhan, is selling the property with the condition that the buyer must be an Emirati citizen, adhering to Ras Al Khaimah’s property regulations.

The palace, also known as Al Qasr Al Ghamedh ("Palace of Ambiguity"), has a long-standing reputation for being haunted, earning it the nickname "Palace of Ghosts." Local legends speak of echoing footsteps, flickering lights, and ghostly figures. The Sheikh never resided in the mansion due to family objections to the artwork. The palace was later restored and opened to the public daily from 9 am to 7 pm.

The palace's construction is estimated to have cost over Dh500 million, reflecting its opulence. It features intricate details such as painted ceilings and a glass pyramid that channels sunlight. The palace has drawn interest from high-profile figures, including Benazir Bhutto.
