This potential project follows the Vietnamese government's initial approval of a $1.5 billion complex in Hung Yen province, which includes hotels, golf courses, and homes. Construction on this northern project is expected to begin soon.

These developments occur amidst ongoing trade negotiations between Vietnam and the United States. The US had threatened significant tariffs on Vietnamese goods, but these were temporarily reduced to allow for further discussions. Vietnam has expressed its commitment to purchasing more American goods and eliminating tariffs on US imports.
