A prime plot on Dubai's Jumeira Bay Island has set a new record for the most expensive real estate deal. The 25,441-square-foot plot was sold for Dh182 million (approximately $50 million), surpassing the previous high of Dh125 million ($34 million) on the same island. This transaction highlights the island's status as one of Dubai's most exclusive and sought-after locations.
The deal, facilitated by Unique Properties, involved months of strategic negotiation to secure the ideal opportunity for their client. Jumeira Bay Island, developed by Meraas Holding, is connected to the mainland via a 300-meter bridge and spans 6.3 million square feet. It is known for its high-end properties.
The buyer plans to construct a bespoke home on the newly acquired plot, adding to the collection of luxury residences already present on the island. Recent transactions on Jumeira Bay include a Dh330 million villa sale and a Dh410 million penthouse deal at the Bulgari Penthouse, further emphasizing the island's appeal to high-net-worth individuals.
