Rental Registration via Messaging App

Dubai Land Department (DLD) has expanded its digital services, allowing tenants to update their Ejari rental records via WhatsApp. This move streamlines the process, eliminating the need for in-person visits to government departments. The service is facilitated through the 'Aqari' platform, initially launched in August 2024 for title deed updates and other property-related services.

Ten service trustees are available through WhatsApp to assist users with Ejari registration and updates. This enhancement enables tenants worldwide to complete essential steps online. The Ejari system is crucial for both tenants and landlords, providing a record of tenancy contracts, facilitating DEWA service activation, and protecting tenant rights in case of disputes.

This digital advancement aligns with Dubai's broader strategy of digitizing government services, making transactions more accessible and efficient. The shift towards online platforms reflects the city's commitment to enhancing user experience and simplifying property-related processes.
