Hotel on Dubai World Islands Aims for International and Regional Tourists

A new Dh3 billion luxury development has launched on Dubai's World Islands, within the Heart of Europe project. This includes the region's first Buddha-Bar Hotel, Floating Villas, and a dedicated Buddha-Bar Beach Honeymoon Island. The project aims to attract European luxury travelers and UAE/GCC staycationers, capitalizing on shifting travel patterns and regional appeal.

The Heart of Europe is a heart-shaped archipelago featuring six themed islands, with the Buddha-Bar project encompassing a 162-key overwater hotel and various leisure offerings. The project is designed to have over 4,000 keys across 20 hotels and resorts, with a target completion by the end of 2027. The development is designed to accommodate up to 16,000 people simultaneously, targeting luxury travelers, including honeymooners, eco-conscious visitors, and families.

Accessibility to the World Islands has been a challenge, but the developer has collaborated with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to improve transportation. This includes RTA Marina access, ferries, and agreements with private marinas. Future plans include floating helicopter landings and exploring drone and air taxi integration. The group is also in discussions with the RTA regarding potential public water taxi connections.

The Kleindienst Group is optimistic about the Middle East hospitality sector, viewing regional growth positively. They believe that the changing climate and evolving travel preferences, particularly among Europeans, make Dubai an attractive destination. The group also has two other "mega projects" in development, with one expected to be announced within the next year.
