Laheq, a new island development by Red Sea Global (RSG), is slated to open in 2028 as the first RSG project primarily focused on permanent, resort-style living. Located off Saudi Arabia's western coast, Laheq will offer a blend of private residences, two luxury hotels, a 115-berth marina, and various premium amenities. These include a golf course, beach clubs, sports facilities, and wellness centers, all designed to create a vibrant, self-contained coastal community.
The island's design, by Foster + Partners, centers around "The Ring," an 800-meter circular structure encompassing a lagoon. This structure will house apartments, hotels, and retail spaces, embodying a "Forever Garden" theme that prioritizes lush landscaping and natural integration. Laheq will operate entirely on renewable energy, aligning with RSG's broader ecological goals, such as mangrove planting and coral reef regeneration, consistent with all Red Sea developments.
Red Sea Residences, a dedicated entity under RSG, will manage Laheq. Upon full completion in 2030, The Red Sea project is expected to feature 50 resorts and over 1,000 residential properties. RSG Group CEO John Pagano highlights that Laheq reflects the company's move toward integrated communities, supporting Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 objectives of enhancing quality of life and attracting long-term investment.
